Yeah, I was just checking out the long term forecasts and except for Iguazu Falls, it's gonna be from low 20s in Rio to low teens in BA and Santiago. Nice comfy temps. Same on Easter Island. Just picked my optionals for my free time....climbing to Rio's highest point, a ranch experience outside BA, hiking in the Andes and Valparaiso in Chile. Only the last one is through Monograms. The rest, I booked elsewhere. Love that flexibility.

Rio es wonderful from the Corcovado....much better than at street level. Glad you are doing a ranch outside the city en Buenos Aires, I hope the weather is good, maybe even an "Indian summer".

I did a ranch day in Bariloche but there was no chance to ride a horse and no demonstration by the gauchos....this one has that. And of course, can't beat the feed! The hike I'm doing goes higher than Corcovado. It's the peak to the west - Tijuca. I'll be looking down on Corcovado!

Chech: Take care of yourself (health wise) especially in Brazil. Take plenty of bug repellent just to be safe. Have a wonderful trip. Purvis

Cool....a bunch of those will get covered this trip. I'll be hiking through Cajun del Maipo. Booked that one on my own but have to do it on my included sightseeing day....but think I can do a quick city tour on the day after I return from Easter Island as I have the whole day in Santiago before my flight home. I have plans to return to Argentina/Chile with Eldertreks at some point....they go through the interior of Argentina in the north and cross into Chile and end at the Atacama.

Got my documents and finally got some packing done. Now, just have to hope the heavy rain next week doesn't bring too much fog.

And now I've figured out the e-upgrade system. Can't upgrade the long flights but for a mere 6 e-upgrade credits, I got business class from here to Toronto. But the bad news is the hike I wanted to do in Rio doesn't have enough people so it was cancelled. Trying to find something else now.

I found the same tour on Viator and booked it....only to get the voucher and find it was with the same company! LOL Trying to see if I can switch it up with a helicopter ride.

I got into my car this morning to get some last minutes travel snacks and turned on the radio to hear "Leaving on a Jet Plane." LOL I have an eight hour wait in Pearson and I've managed to secure the one and only internet chair in the Maple Leaf Lounge. Woohoo!! I can easily spend four or five of that eight here.
