For Oz and Tassiedevil...some photos for Melbourne and Hobart are up. Let me know if any labels are wrong or missing on something that should have a label.

They should all be there by then. I decided to check out some of your Greece pics while waiting for the AU pics to be posted. Your pics are bringing back memories from my trip!

Is the house totally de-furred and painted? Look out Cuba! Can you handle 315 gatos? Here she comes!

Defurrification is 98% complete. Bedroom is almost painted. And I just figured out where I think I'm going for my spring getaway....the only place I could make fit my dates is Italy...3-20 April with Monograms again. Includes Venice, Florence, Rome, Sorrento and Sicily. Only been to Rome out of all those spots and they connect via rail. And not so hot temps in April.

Sounds like a great trip Chech. Italy is still my favourite country, and I hope to go back again someday! My boss went to Italy in April a few years ago, and he said it was still cool and very wet. Typical spring weather, and better than the heat and humidity of summer!

Yeah, I don't mind a bit of rain in exchange for the cool. I was going to do this tour last May but opted for Norway because of the heat difference. There's only one day I need to be sunny and that's the day I want to spend in Pompeii but I have booked 3 pre-days in Sorrento so I get my pick of those days to go. I did a day tour of Pompeii years ago and always regretted not getting the chance to wander the streets. This time I will spend the day there. I will have questions once I start looking at the optionals!

I’ve been on two trips with almost non-stop rain, one was in Holland, and the other was in Switzerland and Austria. There’s not much you can do about the weather though, and it’s still better than oppressive heat and humidity. It won’t be too crowded in April either, which is always nice! I hope you get a nice day for Pompeii.

I just took a peek at the averages and it looks like Naples is dryer than Venice in April. It gets its rain Oct to February while Venice gets less rain overall but it's about the same throughout the year. Nice part is that the average high is in the high teens. I can handle that happily.

Last time I was in northern Italy including Venice was in March of 2012. Although they said that Venice had recently had some flooding we were blessed with nice weather. I only needed to wear a sweater and the sun was out shinning bright. I haven't been to Capri since 1980 and am thinking about a return trip in September. It would be fun to see if I see any changes over the years.

Finally got time to get back to this travel tale and glad I did. What a magnificent trip you had, and so well described and captured on photographs. There are plenty of Australians who haven't seen this much of our own country - you covered a lot of territory in your time here. And this is a first for me: reading somebody else's travel tale that I'm actually in. It was a fun evening, showing Chech around Melbourne and letting her see what Mrs Oz has to put up with. Perhaps, one day in the future we could join up with Chech on an overseas guided tour; I reckon we could have the whole coach load laughing all the way through the trip (assuming Mrs Oz doesn't rein me in too soon).

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Chech. I still haven't start reading your Australian tale and I understand pretty soon you will start writing others....(the shopping is all done, baking will be next week, maybe now is the time to read it!) Enjoy Cuba, a most interesting place, looking forward to this tale as well. Safe travels.

TSN (sports network) here has a commercial going all week...."Tennis thunder down under." Now, it makes sense to me.

Tennis is certainly on and in full swing in Melbourne.
I really loved reading you Travel Tale and enjoyed the photos very much. I shall have to catch up with my Tales of travels as soon as I get back from New Zealand.
There just doesn't seem to be enough time to do everything that I wish and I have a lot on the plate at the moment.
