We have an Ikea about 15 km away. They had the nicest play area for the kids, huge ball pit. Will need to go there later this month for a "meatball fix". Love the ligonberry sauce. There are a few copycat recipes on food.com!

There are a couple of Ikea stores where I live, one probably no more than 5 mi from house but I have never been inside and didn't know they had food, I heard one time the reference of going for meat balls in the show The Big Bang Theory assuming it was a joke. I will have to check them, thank you Chech and poodlegirl.

I’m back from Nashville and looking forward to finishing this tour tale. I think I’ve gotten to day 5, so I have a few days to go.

I finally finished your tour tale Chech. Sounds like you had a great trip, despite a few encounters with some rude people!

In 2012 I was fortunate to be able to go on TTs Scenic Scandinavia and its Fjords and then biggy back on to TTs Best of Finland, Russia and the Baltic States. I have to admit for some reason I got restless on the Scenic Scandinavia and its Fjords tour. I actually got fatigued of seeing to much blue water and green trees. By the end of the trip I thought I would die boarding one more ferry while crossing the Sea. The people are pleasant enough in Scandinavia but for some reason this was my least favorite of the numerous coach tours that I have completed.
Russia on the other hand I thoroughly enjoyed. In fact I actually enjoyed Russia a little more than Lithuania Latvia and Estonia. Loved Moscow's colorful Metro Stations.

I have just finished reading this. Love the tale & the photos. I'm planning on going to Scandinavia in 2017 with my best friend and matron-of-honour, from the 70's. We are leaving the men at home. We haven't decided yet which tour company or which tour and will start serious planning some time next year.

Let me know which options you're looking at and I can look to see if there's a big advantage or disadvantage of one over the other. When I was looking at the tours, I saw some that spent almost no time among the fjords and after being there, I can't imagine doing a tour like that and being satisfied.
