Some of the pictures are very scary~~~~~; my daughter reminded me that early in the 80's we were driving back from Colorado though New Mexico and the sky was stormy and dark just like some of your pictures; we didn't know any better, no weather channel or radio with weather alerts so we just kept going....thank you for the pictures, I will show them to my son in law next month.

Sounds like a great trip. How did you come across this type of trip?
My favourite is the Grand Island set. Just love the colours!

Yeah...those colours were stunning. I saw that blue several times. Didn't need to do much with it in lightroom...those colours spoke for themselves. I found out about the tour companies when our local forecaster went on a chase a couple years ago. I did a lot of research looking for the best company out there and Tempest had rave reviews everywhere. And I can see why. One of the guys on the tour said that other companies like Cloud 9 won't drive as far. He was on one of their tours and said it was like they didn't want to go more than a few hundred miles from the base city and missed out on great opportunities that were within reach.

Chech, the photos are fabulous but this is a tour I wouldn't want to go on. I am not too fond of storms.
Last year for some reason I was watching the noon news (I usually don't watch it) and they surprised me with that a tornado was heading for our area, I ran up to the front bedroom and it looked like it was heading straight for our house, it was small. Anyway it headed east and touched down in a field. DH said it was stupid to stand there and watch it but I was prepared to run into the basement.

LOL...well, like the Lawnmower Man, you were "keeping an eye on it." This is definitely a niche type of tour. The people who go on it, go on it for very precise reasons. Since you don't like storms, I'll take the pics for you. Oh....I've finished up the introductory page for the SC tale.....what do you guys think of it? I'm having a harder time writing the intro for this tour. wp.me/P4wi9z-3sd

Yeah we were keeping an eye on it, I guess that is what you do when you are not used to it.
I read your intro and found it very well done. I like the photos and description of the tour, it sounds interesting enough to want to read the whole tale even for those of us who would never want to do a tour like this.

Perfect. Thanks! And I love how the Lawnmower Man got his own float. Priceless.
