I received my Trafalgar $100 Welcome Home Coupon. I had forgotten about these, until I received mine in the mail. I don't think I've ever used one and this one expires on 11/3/16. I guess that want you to book while you still have that "holiday glow".
Has anyone ever used one? I wish the expiration date was further out...oh, well!

This new Trafalgar coupon smells like desperation on behave of Trafalgar. With many people feeling the financial pinch I suspect the travel industry is scrambling for clients. Purvis

Purvis Totally agree with you there Purvis, and I'm sure terrorism is playing a part as well, travellers to Europe are down.

I was shocked, we did 3 Tours this year, back 2 back, first tour we were 10 people, 2nd one we were 8 and third one we were 30, all our previous trips we have done, we had a fully packed bus of 54.... our TD also said it was of the economy and the terrorism, actuall on 2 of our trips, people cancelled just before the trips started, their names were actually on the contact lists that have been sent out by our TDs beforehand. Was nice to have small groups, BUT we missed the interaction between a new crowd and lots of new people we could have met!!

It's too bad because people have a much higher risk of falling to their deaths in their shower - eleven times - than being a victim of terrorism.

Heh! And if one decides to take a bath, you're 14 times more likely to drown than be a victim of terrorism. Those odds worsen significantly if there's a cat involved.

I have never received a Trafalgar Welcome Home Coupon, but I wouldn’t complain if I did! I’ll have to ask my friends if they get one when they back from Eastern Europe.
I’ve noticed that Trafalgar’s prices have dropped quite a bit from last year. The Eastern Europe tour that I’m supposed to be on right now is $400 less next year than it was when I booked it, and this doesn’t include the early payment discounts, etc. I guess it’s a good time for us “regular travelers” to travel, as it means we get to save some money!

With such small numbers on each tour the tour directors and drivers must be suffering financially as a great part of their income comes from the tips from the individual travelers. With 10-20 instead of the 45-50 usually on previous tours the amount received is considerable. The tourist industry as a whole must be in a deep slump as those who do continue to travel can book flts, hotels, and activities on their computers and not go through a travel agent . Oh well time to get retrained I guess. Purvis

There is a "Trafalgar Talk" in my city on Nov. 16th. They typically give all in attendance a $100 coupon if you book within 14 days of the presentation. What I like about this presentation is you are permitted to do an open booking, $200 down (can use your coupon for half of the deposit) and decide on the specific trip in 60 days. You're eleigible for all the other discounts also, like early payment, etc.
The Welcome Back coupon would be more 'welcome' if they would give a 6 month expiration date instead of just over a month.
Perhaps I shouldn't complain - I went on a Princess cruise/tour to Alaska July 2015 and received a welcome back email from them that if I booked another cruise with them within 60 days of my return, they would give me $15.00 in onboard credit on my next cruise! Some incentive! I did not rush to book!

A $200 "Trafalgar Talk" Coupon sounds excellent. I've never heard of this coupon before either. It is great that they let you stack this coupon with their other discounts such as as early pay and previous traveler.
Just wondering which of their OPTIONALS offered on the currently priced trips where previously included portion of a trip. Guess the consumer always needs to read the itinerary closely.

A Welcome Home coupon isn't a bad thing to come home to... .... compared to the alternatives...

Could be worse...one could come home to a Chinese cat factory in the basement.
