Nope, not talking about the mafia. Anyone been to Italy in early June? What's the heat like? Destinations would be Sorrento, Rome, Florence and Venice.

Hi Chech we left Italy in early June. temps were mid 20s C . cooler the further north you go, so Sorrento would on average be warmer/hotter than Venice. If I had the opportunity I'd love to travel to Italy in June. Our daughter was there late July into August - very, very hot! especially Rome. hope you get there and I can 'travel' with you.

We were in Rome in mid July a few years back and it was about 38C every day. Same with Naples. Florence, Milan and Venice were just a couple of degrees cooler.

When we were living in Montreal a long time ago without any air conditioning, where it can be hot and humid, for Canadians, we went to Naples, Sorrento, Pompeii, Rome and Florence in early July. We found the heat unbearable in Pompeii and Rome. Another time in Venice in July was fine. Just a Canadian perspective and I think Newfoundland is cooler than Montreal, although I have never visited. The main reason we went late Feb and early March this year plus lack of crowds.

Thanks guys....yeah...I'm guessing June is on the fence between hot and oppressive hot. If I hit a heat wave, I'd be miserable. And the company offering this tour has a higher price now cause the Venice hotel has to be upgraded, so Norway is back on the agenda.

Chech, I went to Italy at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct both times I was there, and the weather was perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, with very little rain. I would definitely recommend that time of year if you don’t like the extreme heat or the extreme cold.

Yes, I was there with my daughter. June was still hot but not awful.
