1 ~~~ The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Cable Car Ride | Zermatt ~~~
On my trip to Zermatt in Switzerland I spent one day up at the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.

This is definitely one of the best things to do in Zermatt and if you're planning a visit to this sleepy resort town you should definitely head up to the Matterhorn.
There are a few different day trip excursions you can go on from Zermatt for a great view of the Matterhorn but it’s the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise that's the best one in my opinion.
From the top there are amazing views of the highest mountains in Switzerland, France, and Italy sweeping around you in a 360 degree panorama.
The views from the cable car are incredible as well and riding up to the top will bring you to the highest cable car station in Europe at nearly 4 km above sea level.
Once you reach the top you can explore the glacier or just spend the day admiring the breathtaking views that you’re constantly surrounded by.
It's possible to ski on the Theodul Glacier 365 days a year. There's a restaurant and bar at the top so you can enjoy the view with a meal or a cold beer.
Tickets to reach the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cost around $60 USD per person.
