1 ~~~ Blood moon lights up the sky in longest partial eclipse in 600 years A rare blood moon eclipse lit up the sky last night in what was the longest lunar spectacle since the Middle Ages. Residents in Brisbane were able to witness the partial lunar eclipse, which lasted 3hours 28 minutes – the longest since the 1440s. The Earth, Sun and Moon aligned – causing 97.4 per cent of the surface to be covered by the Earth’s shadow. The celestial show was also visible across the world, including parts of Eastern Asia, Russia and North and South America. www.cairnspost.com.au/business/blood-moon-lights-up-the-sky-in-longest-partial-eclipse-in-600-years/video/753762eef5cc9aa720f7f0233bbd18a120 November 2021
