The most magical place on earth will have a little less sparkle this holiday season. Walt Disney World announced this week that some of its annual Disney World Christmas events have been canceled in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which usually runs November through early January at Magic Kingdom Park, and the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, a celebrity-hosted reading of the biblical Christmas story backed by a towering choir, will not take place this year. The Castle Dream Lights that turn Cinderella Castle into a glittering jewel at the end of Main Street, USA, will also stay in storage.
