Hi all,
i have survived the flight over the pond. Did you know in Iceland you have to walk outside to get to plane? It was raining cats and dogs and the scene was something out of the news or movies. I was so close to wanting to turn around once I climbed the stairs to do that wave to my fans. However it was around 3 am Toronto time and I was a bit delirious at that point. I have to say I felt very special finding my name on the board once I arrived to Heathrow and had a driver that was hot hot hot. Give this old girl a chance. Not to often I have a handsome young man looking for me. Lol.
I did the Tube and survived yesterday. Everyone was right, pretty easy as long as you know how to read the signs and Pay attention. i went to two pubs. The hotel pub was okay but empty at 2 in the afternoon. The other one I went to around 5 pm. It was a pub pub. It felt strange going in alone, but after my first ever pint of cider. Woot woot, I got chatty. No worries there.
So just thought I would say hi, since it's just after 4 am here and I caught up on sleep. Just waiting for my breakfast buffet to begin. Tour starts tomorrow and leaving London. Tower of London on the agenda this morning and going to explore this afternoon.
Cheers - Patty

Great to hear from you, Patty. Sounds like you're having lots of fun. Good idea ordering the cider.... they have warm beer over there in London...

Good to hear you are having a great time!
I have had to walk outside to a plane at a few airports around the world, including some large airports. They are Heathrow, Charles de Gaulle, Melbourne, Perth, Coolangatta (Australia) and my home airport, Hobart. All have international flights except for Hobart.
