1 ~~~ Disneyland and Other California Theme Parks Will Remain Closed for Months ~~~ In the meantime, Disneyland is expanding its shopping and dining options.
Disneyland fans will soon be able to walk the streets of Disney California Adventure for the first time since the park closed in March—but they won’t be able to get on any rides. The Downtown Disney District, which reopened in July, will expand next month to include Buena Vista Street, the promenade just inside the Disney California Adventure entrance, for shopping and dining at a handful of locations.
In November, guests will be able to shop for clothing and accessories at Elias & Co., grab some churro toffee at Trolley Treats, or have a sit-down meal on the expanded outdoor patio at Carthay Circle Lounge, among other options. Rides will not be available and the majority of the park will remain closed to guests, along with all of Disneyland Park.
The announcement from Disneyland came just days after guidance from California officials indicating that theme parks across the state will likely remain closed for months to come, or until local coronavirus infection rates drop substantially.
