How does one get some of the beautiful avatar's I have seen on this board? I got mine through "profile"....."edit profile" .....and then I clicked on "use only unloaded/linked"...."select image" and then uploaded from my picture file. But first I had to copy and paste my Boop picture into my picture file. If your picture is oversized......Chech left instructions somewhere on this forum.

G'day Mr or Ms Admin, Low Priorty ~ Santa's Wish List Please Make No Avatar display ~ the system default. Apologies if I have missed an existing member feature in profile or other location. Please add a member option in profile (or make it the system default) to suppress the " Default Avatar". Give individual members the choice to "switch it on" in their profile. Just noticed the space used while copying "Best of Switzerland" Tale from TT to this new home. Very obvious while I was setting up 8 dummy entries to keep this tale intact. www.travel-forum.freeforums.net/thread/127/best-switzerland-29sep-08oct-2011Any Avatar not needed on these occassions. Thanking You in Anticipation. Regards, Owen

Yay - managed to do the avatar thing. So much easier than the TTBB.
I did a Web search, saved the picture to my PC then chose it from the "use only unloaded/linked"...."select image" section.

Hi Owen. ( and thank you for all your work in setting up many threads and transferring travel tales here - You probably noticed the two travel tale posts I converted to 'stickies' on the weekend.)
As for default avatars, we do not have any currently set. I'm unsure why some people are getting default avatars, but I will look into this.

Hi Chech,
Looks good.
I will use that as a test when I get around to investigating "import photos / avatars" into iMac computers and the various web browsers/PC graphics. About NYE's 2014
I assume Windows 8 and same web browsers may be a easier challange.
It will make a difference the forum limit (flexible or ?) on photo images per post.
Any good "Cat Slogans" found on your collection of fridge magnets.
Regards, Owen

Yes, that's exactly what I did - I like to think my avatar represents me - I like to walk and explore when travelling and always like to have a map at hand. Coming from Australia I like to wear a hat and also wear my handbag/satchel cross-ways across my body.
