I have travelled to 60 countries thus far and after much thought I have decided that France is my favorite. And my least favorite was Morocco. I never really felt safe in Morocco. I remember receiving harassing phone calls in the middle of the night at the hotel. When we arrived their was an overly anxious bell hop. Who acted a bit bizarre. He was overly animated. I wasn't alone. Other single women in the group also got the 2 a.m. harassing calls and had to listen to some idiot trying to convince us that he was in fact in love with us. .......SCARY

I loved Morocco, and had a totally different experience than you did. Did you go with a tour group? I went with Insight, and loved everything about the tour. We were not harassed at all. If I had to choose a favourite country though, it would probably be Italy. I’ve been there twice, and hope to go back again someday.

Tiffany, I went on an Insight tour that visited Span, Portugal and Morocco back in 2007. I don't blame Insight or really even the hotel. I just think the employee that called the rooms and waking individuals up in the middle of the night was a little off his rocker. Surely, he could have thought of more constructive things to do with his free time. Both the hotel and the TD were very apologetic about the incident.

Italy is lovely. I remember having a wonderful dinner at the Regina hotel in the Italian Lakes Area. I remember the TD of that particular trip telling us that the hotel had changed per the itinerary and that we were fortunate as he considered the Regina hotel to be an upgrade. The hotel was on the water and the balcony allowed for beautiful views of the lake. The hotel was aptly named as I felt like a queen while staying there!

I went on Insight’s Best of Morocco tour, and just loved it. Of course, the tour only took us to “safe” places, but I loved everything about the tour. The food was excellent and the scenery was beautiful. I’d actually like to go back again someday.
I loved everything about Italy. the first time I was there, it was a short tour, and I was only there for 6 days, but the second time I went for 14 days and saw a lot, including Sicily. I still haven’t made it to Milan though, so next time I’ll have to pick a tour that goes there.

My favourite would have to be Italy especially Umbria and Assisi. I also liked Portugal and am hoping to return to see more of it.

My favourite is Italy, followed by France but Croatia is catching up very fast. The islands there are beautiful and the Plitvice Lakes are magnificent.

My favourite has to be Switzerland, the alps and scenery does it for me.
I have mixed thoughts on France and I haven't seen enough of Italy to do it justice but hope to one day as I can see why its so popular.
One of my favourite travel experiences was in Russia and Mongolia. I had a positive experience in Morocco, never felt unsafe and would consider going back for a more in depth look.

I’m glad I went back a second time to see more of it. Trafalgar’s Best of Portugal is one of the best tours I’ve ever been on, and I hope you get back there someday to see more of it.

My favourite has to be Switzerland, the alps and scenery does it for me. This doesn’t surprise me Bet. I know how much you love Switzerland. It is a beautiful country, although I have to admit that I preferred Austria. I found the people in Austria to be more friendly.

For me, I find the best places anywhere are off the main tourist route. I had the opposite experience to you and found the Swiss to be very friendly, I found the same in Portugal as well.

I really don't know which I loved travelling through the most Switzerland or England. Purvis I'd love to explore England one day, I've only got as far as London and that was only for 3 days but loved it more than what I though I ever would. There's just too many places to explore and not enough time or money to do it.

I love England and Thailand although I'm from Spain .I love England because it's so different and tropical.England I love also because of the weather, and the food there is also nice although not as good as Thailand. I love the language best of all also love the relaxed pace of life which enhanced my childhood.
