Nice blog, and yes, absolutely, The Baltics (and Russia and Belarus) was my last tour, I wish I could go again and see more! Thanks for the link, lunebleu.

I haven't been to any of these cities. Should have been to Skopje (Macedonia), but we had to bypass it as there had been unrest (several police had been killed)there just 2 days before we were suppose to be there. Insight decided it was too volatile to there, so missed seeing Skopje.

I’ve been to two of the cities on this list, Segovia, Spain and Guimaraes, Portugal. Both are very quaint cities, and ones that I would recommend.

I've been fortunate to have visited Skopje, which had an unusual designed museum, dedicated to Mother Therese.

I have also visited Sion in Switzerland and came upon these gentlemen playing their horns. The harmony was lovely.

And the 3rd place on that list that I have visited is Wroclaw in Poland. They have lots of little gnome scattered throughout the city, like this one, making a deposit, in front of a bank in the main square. And the very emotive street art. There are other sculptures on the other side of the street, which I didn't manage to get a photo of. I found the following, on the internet: The public art installation called Przejście, translated as Passage or Transition was installed at the cross streets in December 2005 to mark the 24th anniversary of when martial law was introduced in Poland (December 13, 1981). It was a time when many ordinary civilians were killed and went missing, which is reflected by the descending pedestrians who disappear into the Earth. The imposing method of military ruling was lifted in 1983, as echoed by the rise of the ordinary man on the opposite side of the street. The installation provides a visual representation of time and power.

What fun, those little guys They were everywhere. We almost had a competition going about who had seen or photographed the most. Here are a few more.
