I have no idea how many days!! But it's not till July 4 2015 we (4 of us) leave for Prague, then a land tour 9 days, river cruise 14, then a few days in Belgium and another couple in London before a stopover in Singapore. Maybe 250 days, just a wild guess. 297 days!

Oh cool! That one is high on my list. I've been waiting to see if they offer a tour with more time in Bosnia. My biggest question about that Insight tour is whether or not they stop at Srebrenica when driving between Belgrade and Sarajevo. I just couldn't go that far and not go.

I'm off on Insight's Best of Spain & Portugal in 8 days! Can't wait. Never been to Portugal before. I visited Barcelona and Madrid in the 1980s. Really looking forward to the wonderful architecture, the Plaza Mayors, the food, the wine, the culture.

Welcome to this forum, Denise. I've been to Spain, but not Portugal - it will definitely be a future destination. If you could come back with some travel information about your tour, that'd be much appreciated. With only 8 days to go, you must be well into the excitement zone!

Yep! Packed last weekend as we fly out next Thursday @ 9p.m. - I get home from work at 5.15p.m., pizza and shower then off to the airport (luckily only 10 minutes drive away). I like to maximise my holiday time!

You pack a lot earlier than me. If I'm lucky I pack the nigt before, usually the morning I leave. My next trip I will definitely not be packing in the morning as I have a 6am flight!

Thanks Chech and Owen for the countdown ----------- it's a looooong way off! Denise have a wonderful time. I also pack pretty early, kind of roughly though, then do a "proper" pack the day before. I can usually remove a fair bit then, because I always try to take too much.

I'm heading out from Portland, Oregon, on 10/5 for the England Scotland Heritage tour. Not only does the tour sound excellent, I will have the chance to visit with some friends of mine who are Brits! I haven't seen them since June 2001 when I took my last group of students/teachers to Europe with another tour company, EF. Once 911 happened, I couldn't get any parents in my hometown of Jackson, Mississippi, interested in allowing their high school students to accompany me on a European tour, so I figured my chances of returning were slim to none. A very nice new friend who moved to Portland from Minneapolis came up with this brilliant idea and I said, "Yes!" I'll be leaving the tour in York, taking a train to Sheffield, and spending the night and part of the next day with the Taylors, my British friends, before going on to London by train. We tour-goers fly home on the very next day, so it works out perfectly. Plus, on the Tuesday after we arrive in London on Monday, I get to be my friend's guest at the Rendering of the Quit Rents to the Crown (a ceremony being held since 1211) at the Royal Courts of Justice on The Strand. He's been selected to speak at the event which I find quite exciting. And, on the next Tuesday when I join him and his family in Sheffield, I get to attend the launch of his second book, Secrets of The National Archives: The stories behind the letters and documents of our past, Ebury, 2014 ISBN 978-0091943356, with him and his wife and daughter. Amazing to be able to be there for this special event, too. His first book, How to Read a Church. A guide to images symbols and meanings in churches and cathedrals, Rider, 2003 ISBN 1-84413-053-3, led to the creation of a six-part series on BBC4 which I found on YouTube Friday night! So cool to see Richard at his curious and informative best! For those you've been on the England Scotland Heritage tour (or one that goes to some of the same towns/cities/areas), what should I not miss? Which optionals proved to be extra special? Thanks for letting me ramble on--I'm getting more excited every day! By the way, my photo is my dearly departed darlin' dachshund Duncan. At one point before her death, my little Mama was in a rehab center recovering from some medical issues. I got permission to bring Duncan to visit here there, and he rode the bus with me in a rolling black suitcase which I fixed up inside so that he could stick his head out the zipper. I thought the image appropriate for this forum.

I am going on the European Delight departing October 15. If anyone else is, let me know! I am so excited. It is my first tour with trafalgar and my first time flying and traveling outside Illinois, save Wisconsin. I am both overwhelmed and excited. I will be posting a few questions here for those who have been on these tours before. So happy you guys made a new forum, i was sad to see it go. Thanks guys!

Hi Lynette, Have you checked out the travel tales. Owen has moved a lot of them over from the old board and there are some there for the UK. Check them out. And OzT just finished the long tour of both islands last year...he can answer any questions you might have as well as his tour likely did a lot of the same spots.

You are going to have a lot of fun! Check out the travel tales to see more information about touring in general. They should help answer questions or generate a few more. I'm going on my 15th solo tour in November and I still get jittery and a bit overwhelmed before I go but once I'm en route, all is well. Any questions, just ask. Someone will have an answer for you!

I wonder how will Scotland decide and how will it affect tourism and money matters or how soon if the YES passes, will they go to the Euro? Uncertain times for Scotland, I think.

Well, as we're in our infancy, the cash budget is running low and it is indeed an empty trophy cup. But Ms Boop seems to have hit on a splendid idea.....

Less than two weeks to go. Attempted to do a trial pack but was unable to complete it. somebody doesn't want me to go. Either that or she can't wait to see Ireland either. This will really affect my weight allowance.
