I was looking through the travel section while at the book store today, and noticed a book of Turkey from “Insight Guides”. It was a nice book with a lot of beautiful pictures, and seemed to contain a lot of history about Turkey. I’ve never heard of “Insight Guides” before, and was wondering if anyone has heard of them, and, if so, if they like their books. I normally buy the “Eye-Witness Travel Guides”, but am tempted to buy their Greece books.

Hi Tiffany I have an Insight Guides book on South America which I took with me on my Trafalgar Cultures & Contrasts of South America + Peru extension tour in 2013. Great photos and lots of information. I also have some Eyewitness Travel Guides and Lonely Planet Discover books on various locations. Sometimes I get lucky and am able to buy the travel books at 40% off at local booksellers. I've found all these different books to be very useful - I like having pictures of the places I plan to visit in the books not just information.

Thanks Denise. I like having pictures of the places I plan to visit as well, which is why I like the Eye Witness Travel books. The Insight Guides appear to have a lot of pictures as well, and more information, so maybe I’ll buy their Greece books.
