Day 11 was a little tough to read from the American point of view, so many things to learn on this tour. Thank you Chech.

One American on our tour was impressed with how well the Vietnamese are doing given the decades of strife that went on there. She said they have dealt with the war so much better than Americans have. Day Thirteen is up.

OMG!! You finally had a Krispy Kreme!!!! Was it worth it? Sorry you didn't get to see Katie Perry halftime show.
Thanks for taking us with you! Maybe now you'll get some rest so you can get rid of your cold before Cancun.

Yes...the Krispy Kreme was worth it! The first one especially. Think it was still warm too. The cheesecake one wasn't as nice but next time I see one, I'll try more. And I only gained one pound over the whole trip...so no guilt! LOL I saw the halftime show...I got to the hotel just as halftime started. And I watched the whole game again on Friday. So much better the next time around. Oh...and it looks like reports that 11 of 12 balls being deflated was erroneous! Apparently, only one ball was under by 2 psi...and it was the ball that the Colts had intercepted. Some are now pointing the finger at the Colts' staff for letting the air out of that ball. Wouldn't that be a coup. LOL

Next time, if you're near a Krispy Kreme store, a standalone store, you can watch them make a batch. Also watch for the HotLight. If it's on, that means a fresh batch is about to come out of the oven. We like them when they're just a little bit warm.

Really enjoyed your tale, Chech. I haven't looked at all your photos yet. Too bad that you couldn't get off your flight in Toronto to watch more of the game that evening. Get well for your Mayan adventure.

Glad you liked it! I've been meaning to say too that I'm getting quite a few clicks from this site to the tales on my blog. At least one a day on average. That's better than the clicks from Facebook and Twitter.

Chech,
Just finished reading your tale - I'm still catching up - AMAZING TRIP! So many fascinating facets of the journey. Thank you for the beautiful pictures and historical detail.
I would certainly consider going after reading about your trip. It's a unique destination. Loved the Dragon boat, scooters and Angkor Wat photos.
Looking forward to following along with you on your next trip.
