Sorry Chech: I wanted Seattle to win only because I have been there many times having lived in BC for 10years. Actually I'm not much on sports but glad to see that Tiger Woods didn't make the cut . This is a man who treated others as dirt and as the saying goes "What goes around comes around" so maybe there is justice after all.

Well, Chech, but the game was not won by the Patriots or Brady. The Seahawks lost it. But what a game! Welcome back , hope you enough rest before going home and have time to keep posting the tale. It's fascinating!

Ahhh... so we can now talk about the Superbowl without worrying about revealing that the winner was and that they won by points?

LOL.. It was the same with the Pat's loses to the Giants...the Giants didn't win. The Pats lost it. (And it didn't help that the Giants cheated in 07 by having two players fake injuries just prior to the 2 minute warning to preserve the timeouts....a practice the Giants were ordered to stop a season later. Had they used those timeouts then, they would have never made it up the field...lol). I'm just happy they faced Seattle and not Green Bay....oh yeah...where's this year's MVP? Oh...playing golf. LOL P.S. The nice part is that Wilson is still young. He'll be back. Brady has a couple to 5 years left maybe. At least he has tied his idol with wins

That's an interesting narrative of the events of 1963, Chech. The assassination of President Diệm and his brother Nhu shocked the world, including JFK. Diệm was definitely awful toward the Buddhists. He was also fervently anti-communist and supportive of the USA. It is interesting to ponder how events in Vietnam would have been different had a Vietnamese military captain not become enraged and killed the two brothers in that military transport vehicle.

At least he has tied his idol with wins I tell my daughter, which was devastated, she was lucky to have been at the probably most talked about game in history. Little consolation, but it's something to say "I was at the game the day the Seahawks imploded" She didn't think it was funny.

Interesting that a Vietnam Vet was on the tour, I was wondering if there was anybody, and now I wonder what he thought about it, did you get to talk with him, Chech?

As much as my heart can't take these close games, an entertaining SB is always fun. Last year wasn't just an implosion...Manning was sucked into a black hole.

Interesting that a Vietnam Vet was on the tour, I was wondering if there was anybody, and now I wonder what he thought about it, did you get to talk with him, Chech? Oh yeah...he was a sweetheart. He travelled alone cause his wife doesn't and there were so many female solos on the tour, we became a bit of a 'gang.' I joked that we were going to get a picture of all the female solos around him like the Angels around Bosley on his cell phone....and wanted to hear how he explained it to his wife. He's a professor now in international relations of some sort. He had some good tales to tell about his years in Vietnam. Like how he took off one time and suddenly realized the ground in front of him was rising up to meet him. Then he realized it was helicopters taking off simultaneously and causing a mini-dust storm. The copters were headed to invade Cambodia.

Oz...just tweeted and FBed this thread so I'll be curious to hear if traffic increases in the next day or so. Are you able to monitor where the clicks originate from? On my blog, I know if someone accessed it from Twitter, FB, this site etc.

Chech: Just reading day nine. I now know why you took Dukoral before leaving on this trip. Fish and snakes are two things that I detest the most so I guess your tour would freak me out. I do however enjoy reading of your tour and seeing your pictures and not having to face snakes and eat fish . Glad you made it home safe and now can enjoy the snow. Purvis

On my blog, I know if someone accessed it from Twitter, FB, this site etc. I can certainly monitor the traffic via the number of views. And I can do this at any time by nominating the date range. However, the origin of the feed isn't available, so we can only guess where the source is.

Yeah, it covered all the major points and the extension to Angkor Wat was ideal. The local company that ran the tour was Trails of Indochina. Very efficient and organized.

It's almost all ready to go. My head lets me post a day at a time. (The photos are a bit labour intensive). Thankfully, this cold isn't as bad as the Panama one...but this one has a pounding headache. But that's okay...in six weeks and a bit, I'll be on a beach in Cancun.
