NETHERLANDS summer in Giethoorn (hd-video) Very popular destination for a daytrip. You can hire a boat, join an organized boattrip or make a walk along the canals. There are several restaurants. All for affordable prices. Free car park, but do come early.
Music: Visand by Gheorghe Iovu.

Comet Neowise's spectacular journey – in pictures Comet Neowise was discovered on 27 March by Nasa’s Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) mission. Scientists say the comet is about 3 miles across. Its nucleus is covered with sooty material dating back to the origin of our solar system 4.6bn years ago. Advance Australia Fair (National anthem of Australia) - André Rieu André Rieu & His Johann Strauss Orchestra performing Funiculi Funicula live in Maastricht, 2008. Original lyrics: Australians all let us rejoice For we are young and free We've golden soil and wealth for toil Our home is girt by sea Our land abounds in nature's gifts Of beauty rich and rare In history's page, let every stage Advance Australia Fair In joyful strains then let us sing Advance Australia Fair Beneath our radiant Southern Cross We'll toil with hearts and hands To make this Commonwealth of ours renowned of all the lands For those who've come across the seas We've boundless plains to share With courage let us all combine To Advance Australia Fair In joyful strains then let us sing Advance Australia Fair www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYMDxmWs680 ~ 2:00 ~ 15 May 2020 ~

South Africa ~ Krugerpark with original sound (18) Many viewers prefer wildlife video's with longer scenes and original sound. Therefore I have selected several recordings without disturbing background noise.
In this video leopard, buffalo, kudu and white rhino. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMuBi2aTb6I ~ 9:16 ~ Harry Mateman ~ 8 July 2020 ~

Civil rights activist and politician John Lewis – a life in pictures The civil rights leader John Lewis, known at the ‘conscience of America’, has died. Born the son of sharecroppers in Alabama on 21 February 1940, he attended segregated public schools and, inspired by the words of Martin Luther King Jr, became active in the civil rights movement. From university onwards he organised sit-ins at segregated lunch counters, took part in the Freedom Rides, was chair of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee and was a key speaker at the historic March on Washington in 1963. He led one of the pivotal moments in the civil rights movement, a march over the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama that was brutally attacked by state troopers. www.theguardian.com/us-news/gallery/2020/jul/18/civil-rights-activist-and-politician-john-lewis-a-life-in-pictures

Orfordness Lighthouse: Waving goodbye to a coastal landmark For more than 200 years, the lighthouse at Orford Ness has warned mariners they are nearing Europe's longest shingle spit. But as the sea steadily reclaims the land on which it is built, its owner has decided the time is right for the lighthouse to come down, changing forever the skyline of the Suffolk coast.
"I feel highly emotional," says Nicholas Gold, owner of Orfordness Lighthouse. "It's taken a big chunk of my life." The Grade II-listed building is the 11th - and final - Orfordness Lighthouse.
It was established 228 years ago on a particularly perilous stretch of England's coast. Although it is impossible to say how many souls it has helped save during that time, a single storm off Orford Ness, for example, wrecked 32 ships during a single day in 1627. www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-suffolk-53263525
