Visit Bath. Always Beautiful. Even on a cold, winter’s day in January, there’s something enchanting about Bath that sets it apart from other cities. The Georgian architecture, the history, the excitement and prestige of this UNESCO world heritage site all conspire to offer the visitor an unforgettable experience. Enjoy this four-minute tour around one of the world’s finest cities, filmed, in 2020, at a very civilised - and slightly more peaceful - time of year!

Traversing the UK’s capital on two wheels is not only the most invigorating way of getting from A to B, but it’s often – surprisingly – the quickest, too. And if that wasn’t enough, you get to see all the landmarks dotted around the city as you ride. So whether you’re planning to pick up a hire bike for an afternoon outing or looking for some out-of-town action in London’s leafy suburbs, here are some routes to try. ~ Please check parks, gardens and cafés etc are open before visiting. www.cntraveller.com/gallery/london-cycling-routes

Postcard from the future: The Tour de France will have to wait another year Our food writer looks forward to heeding the siren call of the French Alps to watch Le Tour – and cycle a stage herself - but not until 2021
This was going to be the summer when, after three decades of armchair spectating, I finally got to see the Tour de France in the sinewy flesh. We had planned to catch one of the mountain stages, and not just for the pleasure of sitting on a sun-warmed rock with a cold beer watching other people work. The siren call of the Alps themselves is an even stronger draw than seeing defending champion Egan Bernal and home favourite Thibaut Pinot doing battle before my very eyes. www.theguardian.com/travel/2020/may/18/postcard-from-the-future-the-tour-de-france-will-have-to-wait-another-year
