When I was in Croatia, a guy from San Francisco was convinced SF was 19 hours ahead. I tried to tell him it was behind us and he would not believe me...LOL.

It is very hard for most people to understand the time/day differences. As a Communicator I always worked in Zulu Time (UTC) so I have never had any trouble translating to local time wherever I am.

Third cup of coffee, 8.45am Perth time and I'm still contemplating the day - Sunday morning. The outlook is pretty lousy with 100% chance of rain (spitting at the moment) so outdoor activities will be curtailed. There is a big area of paving to be done but that will be postponed to another day.
It will be a good day to refine some of my travel plans for the coming 7/8 months.

How much rain is in your forecast? I just finished my evening tea after spending the day moving my sister out of the house I just sold. An unseasonable 19 degrees today, and tonight, Hurricane Gonzalo is whipping by. Thirty to sixty mm of rain and 90 k winds possible. We'll likely sleep though it.

"Hurricane Gonzalo is whipping by. Thirty to sixty mm of rain and 90 k winds possible"All is ok, Chech. The hurricane has moderated and headed south. It's apparently eased into a CATegory 5 storm, settling over New York...

Our forecast was for up to 30 millimetres but in actual fact we only had about 6-8 locally. some areas had very heavy falls and even some hail to boot. Here it was only nuisance stuff stopping the use of electric power tools outside but I was able to continue with some cordless gear and air tools as we have a decent air compressor and a lot of tools to suit.

Glad to see you here Jenno. I've finished my tea for the morning. Right now I am drinking Typhoo, imported from England. One of our buy-out stores had a supply and I bought 5 boxes. Should last me for awhile.

I just sat down to a mug of Red Rose Canadian breakfast with honey. Typhoo sounds familiar....I should take a peek at my local store.

This is quite new territory for her, guys, but some gentle coaching brought in her first message. It will take a little time for her to get the 'feel' for the Forum.
P.S. Thank goodness for telephones - that little job took 38 minutes!

Actually, this forum's functions are much closer to the Trafalgar format they used about four years ago (before they switched to their final format). Many members were upset at this change and discontinued their activity. Hopefully, this will be familiar to Jenno.

And just a minor observation, Tony. The longest running thread in the history of the Trafalgar forum was, I think, "Jenno needs a cup of tea". The format changes were quite frustrating then and it was only the ability to relax with a Dilmah that gave poor Jenno the strength to persist.

I just checked back to some records that I had kept.
Can we change to needs?

Done, Tony. However, as thread author, I suspect you could have edited that one yourself.

I did have a look but didn't see the path.
The thread looks better now!
