Anyone have any recommendations? No fast food type restaurants. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to food.

Hello,
I had a recommendation by a colleague to visit the Marriott London County Hall - Library Lounge for afternoon tea. It's next to the London Eye. So I made a reservation on October 6. I am a bit of a foodie myself. And prefer quality over everything else. I was also told that Jamie Oliver's restaurant near Angel Station is very nice also. My team lead was there last May. Since I really only have a day and a half I only looked into a few places so far.

Tulips, I can't recommend a particular restaurant, The Marriott place sounds good, but if you continue walking away from the London Eye (on the opposite direction of the Westminster Bridge), there are very many nice real restaurants, one after the other, with outside sitting, etc. We went there on a recommendation, looking for an Italian place, but there are so many, you can pick anyone, prices are varied, but they do have menus posted to check this, good ambiance.

London Walks had given me a whole list of where they recommended you go for afternoon tea. I'm undecided on this as I did it last time. I did one of the more expensive ones and for the money, i could get a nice dinner with more choice. We shall see.
I'm interested in the Jamie Oliver one though and will have a look and see what the menu is like.
Thanks.

Any recommendations for a good Indian restaurant in London? Something that’s reasonably priced.

Thanks, but I’m looking for a reasonably priced Indian restaurant. I don’t think any of these are Indian restaurants.

Hi Tiffany,
i can recommend some restaurants, but not Indian ones. I don't generally like Asian food.
It it might help to know what the budget is because everyone's definition of reasonably priced can be different.

Thanks Tulips. We are looking for a place where we can get a two course meal (appetizer and entrée), with a drink for under $50.00 Cdn (which is approximately 26 pounds). I did go to a good Indian restaurant the last time I was in London, but wanted to try something different this time. My boss recommend a really good Indian place, but it’s expensive.
We are also talking about getting last minute tickets for a show, so I’m now thinking of looking for a restaurant in the theater district. I bought the “Eye Witness Travel Top 10 London” the other day, but have not had time to look at it yet. It may have some suggestions as well.
