And a fabulous New Year for you too, Purvis. Nice to see you on the forum again. I guess it's snowy and cold where you are while we are expecting a very hot day tomorrow for the first of the year!

Weather here in St. Albert Alberta ca. is quite nice 4C. Expected to get much colder in a few days. Very little snow on the ground but that also is about to change. Not traveling anymore due to a bad fall last March but at 85ys can't complain. Best for the New Year . Purvis

Happy New Year to everyone. Well it sure isn't cold here in Australia and we had a 44C (111F) day on Friday (and some similar temps just before that). We may be used to this sort of weather but a long drought adds to the conditions that have wreaked havoc with bushfires in the eastern states.

Each day our international news brings pictures of the terrible destruction caused by the Australian wildfires to both man and wildlife. It must be terrifying to see your property on fire and know that it is gone. Not everyone is able to replace and repair the damage to their property. My hope is there is some miracle that comes soon to put an end to such destruction and those effected can get on with their lives. Purvis

Thank you Purvis and happy new year to you as well. Like you I’m traveling little these days, but enjoying time with family, short trips and the hundreds of pictures and memories! Have a healthy year! To all the members: keep on traveling and writing wonderful tales! Thank you Owen, hope you are safe in Australia, as well as OZ and the rest of you in the land down under.
