I aways upload my photos to Google as then I can see them on my android phone as well as on computer. I do have a flickr account and have uploaded selected pics to that site. However I have just had several mails from people who have liked my photo on flickr of our beloved cat that died suddenly last year. I dd NOT put this nor other pics I have now found on there! Can someone more savvy with photo storage sites shed light on how this happened?

I've refrained from comment until now, as I don't have an informed opinion on what the cause may be. Only a guess, but is there some setting in Flickr that links to emails? Or maybe something in Google?
Maybe you could ask somebody who liked the pics to advise what they saw on the screen?
Any tech gurus out there who can assist Solaria, please?

Solaria, I’m definitely no tech guru but I do have Flickr. I’m thinking your photos are being automatically uploaded due to your settings. You might need to turn off the Auto-Uploadr option.

thanks for that. I checked auto uploadr and it was not tuned on. I've changed family pics to private so public will only see travel photos now, which is the only reason I had a Fickr account. I still cannot understand how the family photos got on there. I'll try and find out through Google pics.

I've been using flickr since 2009. I've never had that happen and never had anything go up automatically. I don't have flickr on my cell phone and don't use instagram which I would think would be the only way it could automatically go up.
