Tiffany, I am sorry to hear about your set back. Hopefully your medical team can figure your best treatment plan. Also sorry to hear that you will cancel your Spain trip. I was happy to read that you were able to go on the Croatia tour. I am thinking of you.

Hello all, just a quick thanks for your kind words. Unfortunately I think my travelling days are over, and i am glad i got my trip to Croatia in. I doubt I will have time to write a tale, but please note it was a good tour. I am very sad about Spain though.
Anyway I need to finish eating before family arrives but i will be sure to keep you updated when i have time.

I will try to keep you updated more often, however, I'm still getting used to my new lap top, and, when I do have some free time, I'm usually exhausted and need to take a nap. Tiffany Hi Tiffany, I don't make comments all that often on here and I haven't visited here for a couple of weeks BUT I just want to say that I hope your med's are soon sorted and that you can get back to something like a normal life, very soon.

Had my first six monthly checkup and round of tests today. The results were all good, no problems. Don't have to go back and see him again until the next checkup in January.

In July when I posted all was good, I forgot that I had to have a procedure in September. I had that last week, and quoting the doctor I was text book perfect! As they were so good I don't need to have it again for 3 years! For which I am grateful for as I struggle with the preparation, this time it included 31.5 hours without food!
Now I just have my CT scan to look forward to in January which includes drinking 3 glasses of the vile iodine solution.

Had my second six monthly checkup last month. All test results, including CT scan, were good, no problems.
It was a pretty happy time for me as 2 days before my appointment with the doctor (to find out the results of the tests) I ran a half marathon. Despite no training (2 5km runs in the 2 months leading up to it don’t really count), maintaining a conversation for all but the last 300m of the 21.1km and feeling like I was just strolling along rather than running I still managed a PB!

Excellent news! I can't imagine running 21 km! I've been able to rehabilitate my knees to the point that I do a stationary bike and started using an elliptical. The first time I got on it, I couldn't do 30 seconds...I thought I was going to collapse! LOL Now I'm up to 10 minute at a good clip. Any more races planned?

I did the Run The Bridge yesterday, which started at Bellerive Oval (Bellerive is the suburb where we took you down to the water front looking back over to the city and actually ran past where we stopped), over the Tasman Bridge and down to Salamanca for a total of 10km. Due to the new terrorism laws, they had to close the whole Bridge this year rather than just a few lanes. This got more than a few angry responses from locals. So much so you would be forgiven to think 1/4 of the population needed to use the bridge early on a Sunday morning! I am hoping to get a registration for the Run in Disney World in January next year, the run I missed out on doing last year.
