I got to thinking about the earlier conversation and the points about TT reducing prices due to a drop in bookings...so I put my thoughts on the subject into a blog post. Watch for falling coconuts!

When I was in Greece last year, our tour director told us that the news over-dramatizes everything, and that things were not as bad as we westerners were lead to believe. I felt perfectly safe in Greece, and am glad I still went, despite all everything going on over there. That being said, I’m happy about the lower tour/flight prices due to a drop in European travel! It makes travelling more affordable to me!

Yeah...I'll take the lower prices too! Our tour guide in Greece said the same thing. A few months before I was there, there was a one day general strike. Nothing crazy...just the strike which was splattered on the news as though it were a revolution. Our guide said the next day twenty-thousand hotel rooms were canceled.
