Airlines have begun cancelling flights to Bali after volcanic smoke has drifted over Denpasar.
The culprit is Mt Raung in East Java, one of the most active volcanoes in Java.
The emission is mainly thin smoke and ash, but detectable enough to worry airlines about it getting into jet engines.

Flights to and from Bali have been resumed this morning and extra flights have been scheduled to clear the passenger backlog.
The situation has not been completely resolved and is subject to continual monitoring.
