Nice, How about one of the bridge over the Seine? I read that a rail collapsed by the weight of the locks and the city was going to remove the rest. I don't think I have one.

Really? Wow. I was there in December 2009. Did they give a reason why? There was no reason given. They had barriers out the front and were told we couldn't go in. Very annoying to know you went in December as I was there only a month later in January, so much can change in just one month!

Yes got into there. We made it down as far as the Roman street before we had to 'flee' due to rain. The Siq was closed due to flooding soon after we left, the site was also closed earling in the day due to flooding.

I know everybody is trying to outdo everyone else with those 'love locks' on bridges... .... but Mrs Oz appreciated me getting the team to attach these ones. * * The bridge collapsed the next day and they'll be invoicing me for a new one soon.

Canadian friends, sorry to hear about the death of the soldiers in Canada. Hope the authorities get to the bottom of this and it gets stop. Our Parliament buildings were attacked this morning. Not sure of the details yet but at least one guard was shot. Don't know if it was a terrorist attack or just a wantabee . Our news this evening will be all over this. As if ebola was not enough to deal with now we here in Canada have to watch out for crazy people who either for religious reasons or 15minutes of fame are attacking our servicemen and institutions.

Last month we had here a fanatical terrorist aged 18 who tried to kill two police officers, presumably by beheading them on camera. Fortunately they were able to shoot him dead. We indeed live in circumstances where security cannot be taken for granted.

My favourite Australian icon - the Koala.
I still have my original "Blinky Bill" which has survived in very good condition over the last 70 years. It was always destined for a Grandchild but I couldn't 'bear' to part with it.
Koalas are not known for their daytime activity as they normally feed at night but when seasons are good they will be on the move chasing down the sweet gum (Eucalypt) leaves.

I’m finally able to post some of my favourite pics from my past tours. Below are pics taken while on a balloon ride over Goreme National Park in Cappadocia, Turkey.
